Black Sabbath anunció el último show en vivo de su historia, contarán con el apoyo de Metallica, Slayer y más

Pantera, Billy Corgan, Fred Durst y Tom Morello también aparecerán en "The Final Show" en julio de 2025 en Villa Park.

Black Sabbath anunció su último concierto en directo, que tendrá lugar en Birmingham con el apoyo de Metallica, Slayer, Pantera y más.

El evento, que se llevará a cabo el 5 de julio, contará con la formación más emblemática de la banda (integrada por el líder Ozzy Osbourne, el guitarrista Tony Iommi, el bajista Geezer Butler y el baterista Bill Ward) que tocará en vivo por primera vez en dos décadas. Se llevará a cabo en Villa Park, en su ciudad natal, Birmingham.

La noticia del último espectáculo en vivo, denominado 'Back To The Beginning', fue anunciada hoy (5 de febrero) en la casa de Aston Villa por Iommi y Sharon Osbourne, manager y esposa del icónico líder.

“Es hora de volver al principio… hora de devolver algo al lugar donde nací”, dijo Ozzy en una nueva declaración. “¿Qué suerte tengo de poder hacerlo con la ayuda de gente a la que quiero? Birmingham es el verdadero hogar del metal. Birmingham por siempre”.

Además de los pioneros del metal que aparecerán con el line up clásico, el evento también contará con numerosas actuaciones de otros íconos de la escena. Esto incluye sets de leyendas del thrash metal como Metallica, Slayer y Anthrax, así como de otros pesos pesados del metal como Pantera, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Alice In Chains, Halestorm y los recientes ganadores del Grammy Gojira.

El solista y ex guitarrista de Rage Against The Machine, Tom Morello, también estará presente en el evento y será el director musical. En una nueva declaración, describió el próximo concierto como "el mejor espectáculo de heavy metal de todos los tiempos".

Otros que aparecerán en el evento que durará todo el día incluyen al líder de Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan, David Draiman de Disturbed, Duff McKagan de Guns N' Roses, Frank Bello de Anthrax, Fred Durst de Limp Bizkit, Sammy Hagar, Papa V Perpetua de Ghost, Wolfgang Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, Jonathan Davis de Korn, Scott Ian de Anthrax y Slash.

Lzzy Hale de Halestorm también estará presente, al igual que Sleep Token ii (Sleep Token), KK Downing, Jake E Lee, Mike Bordin de Faith No More y Rudy Sarzo.

Las entradas saldrán a la venta el próximo viernes (14 de febrero) y todos los beneficios se destinarán a las organizaciones benéficas Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital y Acorn Children's Hospice, un hospicio infantil respaldado por Aston Villa.

La banda dio el último concierto de su última gira de despedida en 2017, cerrando la gira en el estadio de Birmingham. Sin embargo, el pasado mes de mayo el cantante dijo que estaba algo decepcionado de que la última fecha en la que tocaron no incluyera a Bill Ward. El baterista se había separado de las leyendas del metal en 2012, debido a lo que afirmó que era un "contrato irrazonable".
